Tulane Breaks into Top 50
U.S. News and World Report ranked Tulane's medical school 50th among the nation’s top research schools. There around 150 medical schools (MD and DO) in the US.
Personally, I don't put to much stock in the rankings, but a little competitive spirit is healthy.

That is a tremendous accomplishment when you consider what Hurricane Katrina did to TU.
Personally, I think the upheaval of Katrina will make Tulane better. I hope the same for LSU, but having been there as a resident, I wonder. Those people were pretty stuck in the 1930s.
